He Has Risen!

He Has Risen Indeed!

Allelujah!

yes, it's Easter Sunday. I was at both All Souls's morning services today - Communion.

Being Easter, there was a largeish band. I'd taken along both my viola and my alto sax. I did mostly viola with some sax in the 9.30 service, then Michael Thomas, little welsh organist bloke who was conducting, asked me to switch onto just sax in the 11.30 as there were quite a few strings and not many wind instruments.
Enjoyed the sax bits even more than the viola bits. Transposing's getting less of a conscious thing already - still, today's key sigs put me entirely in nice keys - C-A, F-D, Bflat-G, Aflat-F, Eflat-C. I think the C-mel will be a good little bridge until I'm finding F# and C# easily under the fingers!

Anyway - the important part of today is that it's looking back on history's central, pivotal event - Good Friday taking away sin, and Resurrection Sunday making God's people righteous, with Jesus's perfection.

He Has Risen!
He Has Risen Indeed!
Hallelujah!
